Born in Italy in 1967, Andrea Inglese has become a renowned poet, essayist, novelist, blogger, translator, and literary activist. He holds a PhD in Comparative Literature and teaches Contemporary Italian Literature at the University of Paris. In 2003, he wrote L’eroe Segreto an essay about the theory of the novel. He has published several books of poetry including Lettere alla Reinserzione Culturale del Disoccupato which has been translated into French (Italic Pequod, 2013), and English. His anthology on the French poet Jean-Jacques Viton, Il Commento Definitivo Poesie 1984-2008, was published by Metauro in 2009. Aside from having numerous poetic works published, Inglese’s first novel Parigi è un desiderio (Ponte alle Grazie, 2016) has been awarded as the Best Fiction in the International Book Award The Bridge 2017.
