Italian journalist and writer, Elisabetta Rasy has collaborated with various newspapers, including La Stampa, L’Espresso, Panorama and Sette. Author of numerous literary essays, many of which dedicated to female writing (La lingua della nutrice, 1978; Le donne e la letteratura, 1984), she made her debut in fiction in 1985 with the novel La prima estasi Since then she has written several successful novels, which have received various awards such as the Campiello Prize (Posillipo, 1998), such as : Tra noi due (2002), La scienza degli addii (2005), L'estranea (2008), Non esistono cose lontane (2014), and both published in 2016, Le regole del fuoco (finalist at the Campiello Prize) and Senza la guerra (with M. Cacciari, E. Galli della Loggia, L. Caracciolo), Una famiglia in pezzi (2017) and Le disobbedienti. Storie di sei donne che hanno cambiato l’arte (2019).
With Le Indiscrete (Mondadori) Rasy wins The Bridge Award for Italian Non-Fiction 2021.
