Nicoletta Verna was born in Forlì but lives in Florence, where she works as an editor of Italian fiction. She published Il valore affettivo (Einaudi, 2021), which received a special mention at the Calvino Prize. In 2024, I giorni di Vetro was released; it won numerous awards, including the EUPL – the European Union Prize for Literature – and is currently being translated in several countries. In 2025, she published L'inverno delle stelle (Rizzoli), her first novel for young readers. She is also a short story writer and a columnist for La Stampa. I giorni di Vetro is the winner of the 2025 The Bridge Book Award for Italian Fiction.
